5W Public Relations LLC. is seeking a dynamic Account Director to lead our Corporate practice in Tampa. This senior role targets seasoned agency professionals with corporate client experience across financial services, technology, and ESG, requiring sharp media instincts and expert pitching.

As the primary client contact, you’ll oversee strategic communications, executive campaigns, and team workflow, mentoring staff and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• B.A. in Public Relations or related field
• At least 6 years of PR agency experience, specifically working with corporate clients
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and motivation skills
• Proven client relations, management and supervisory skills
• Creative and energetic personality

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact to clients, fostering client-agency relationships and trust
• Overseeing and implementing strategic communications programming
• Executive creative campaigns and brand partnerships
• Manage and delegate daily workflow for multiple accounts
• Communicate account status to agency management regularly
• Demonstrate writing/editing proficiency for presentations, program plans and media strategies
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and team; address needs
• Troubleshoot media, team, or strategy problems; seek senior input
• Motivate team members by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
• Develop communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas clearly
• Conduct and lead monthly conference calls/ meetings with clients
• Guide and lead team on pitching, workflow and account issues
• Participate in new business materials development; assist in generating leads
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for strategic/creative thinking
• Misc. research, duties and projects as required

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Act as primary contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource and counselor to clients.
• Overseeing and implementing strategic communications programming
• Executive creative campaigns and brand partnerships
• Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of multiple accounts.
• Communicate account status to agency management regularly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials particularly presentations, program plans and media strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and team members on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs.
• Troubleshoot media, team, or strategy problems as they arise; seek senior management input when appropriate.
• Motivate team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
• Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others.
• Conduct and lead monthly conference calls and meetings with clients
• Provide guidance and leadership to team members on effective pitching, team issues, account workflow and general account issues.
• Participate in the development of materials for new business opportunities including timelines, proposals, business decks and case studies; assist in generating new business leads.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
• Misc. research, duties and projects as required.
