Job description

About Obin

AI has made plenty of promises. Regulated financial institutions need systems they can deploy, govern, and defend to a regulator.

Obin is the agentic workforce for regulated finance. We build AI agents trained on how a specific firm actually works - its operating logic, its edge cases, its regulatory framework - that run inside the client's own cloud and governance boundary. Every agent we build belongs to the client: their cloud, their model, their IP. Outputs are auditable, traceable, and reversible.

We help leading institutions rethink critical workflows across insurance, private credit, private equity, and commercial lending. Our founders are Apoorv Saxena (Global Head of AI at JPMorgan Chase, Managing Director at Silver Lake, Head of Product for Cloud AI at Google) and Lak Lakshmana (Data & AI operating executive at Silver Lake, Head of Data Analytics & AI at Google). Our advisors include Fei-Fei Li and Lukasz Kaiser. We are in production at institutions representing over $1 trillion in assets, profitable since seed, and closing a Series A.

The role

You own the connection between what we build and what a buyer hears. Nobody owns that today, and it shows.

Our demos run too technical for the people who write the check. We have no case study program despite being in production at institutions most vendors cannot get a meeting with. Newer, better-funded entrants are winning the language of our category. And we are announcing a Series A into that environment.

You will own positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and launch. You will write it yourself.

Be clear-eyed about what this is. No team, no agency of record, no existing messaging framework. You will build it. You partner with our fractional marketing lead, who owns demand generation, brand, and web build - you own the words and the story.

What you will own
  • Messaging architecture. The single source every deck, website page, press release, and talk track compiles from. It has to work at three levels: the platform story (why an open, auditable, client-owned architecture matters), the solution story (Context Studio and the agents that run inside it), and the vertical story (continuous monitoring, scalable underwriting, earlier risk detection). Category definition, positioning, proof hierarchy, buyer-specific messaging for a CIO versus a business owner, and the objection library.
  • Launch. Series A announcement narrative, founder POV, website copy, press materials, and internal enablement so the whole company tells one story.
  • Case study program. Build it from zero. Our proof is the strongest asset we have and none of it is written down. Expect the hard part to be the approval path - getting a regulated institution's name, numbers, and quote cleared is slower and more political than the writing.
  • Business-buyer demo narrative. Our demos lose non-technical buyers. You write the story arc and the talk track; product builds against it.
  • Competitive positioning. Battlecards against the consultancies, Palantir, AI-plus-SI pairings, and new category entrants. We compete on category language and proof.
  • Claim discipline. Every number we put in front of an institution has to survive a skeptical CIO and a procurement team. Owning the story means owning whether it is defensible.
  • Offer architecture. Help shape how we package bespoke engagements - when to lead with platform versus workflow, and the packaging logic that gets us past founder-led deals.
  • Product-to-enablement loop. The recurring cadence that turns product releases into refreshed talk tracks, demos, and collateral.
What we are looking for
Must have
  • Enterprise B2B positioning experience. You have owned messaging for a company selling six and seven figure deals into large institutions.
  • Financial services fluency. You understand why a carrier or a bank buys differently, and what compliance, risk, and procurement do to a message.
  • A launch you owned end to end. A funding announcement or a major product launch, from narrative through execution.
  • You write. This is a hands-on seat with no team. You produce the artifacts yourself.
  • Technical comfort. Agentic AI, deployment models, auditability, human-in-the-loop. Enough to interview an engineer and write something true. Candidates whose experience is entirely finished SaaS products will struggle here.
Strongly preferred
  • 6 to 12 years in product marketing at enterprise B2B or enterprise AI companies
  • Insurance or asset management specifically
  • Built a case study or customer proof program from nothing
  • Services-plus-product commercial models rather than pure SaaS
  • Category creation for an emerging space
  • Early-stage experience
