Job summary

Paylocity in Indianapolis is seeking an Account Coordinator to respond to customer needs, accept freight, build and schedule loads in our TMS, and communicate any service issues to the appropriate team members.

You will foster customer relationships, generate rates, enter shipment data, and identify potential service failures while working with Operations to maximize on-time freight bookings and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service by responding to our customer’s needs and expectations. This includes the primary functions of accepting freight, building and scheduling loads (in our TMS), and communicating any service issues to the appropriate team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

1. Help foster and build relationships with customers by gaining an understanding of their expectations and specific preferences.
2. Generate rates through our quoting tool and submit rates to customers. Accept tendered freight and build / schedule loads accordingly.
3. Enter shipment data into our TMS system accurately and completely.
4. Proactively identify potential service failures and work with Operations to remedy issues.
5. Communicate with customers regarding status updates as required by customers and provide solutions to problems that arise.
6. Plan ahead by working with the Operations group continuously throughout the day, so they are able to book as much freight as possible in advance.
7. Understand and actively work with customer-issued scorecards to improve customer service and meet customer expectations.
8. Update customer websites with shipment information.
9. Regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
