Accommodation Consultant - Vietnamese Speaker (12-month Contract), Disability and Leave Services

The Accommodation Consultant (AC) will work directly with employees and senior leadership to provide accommodations. The AC will serve as the primary contact for employees throughout the accommodation process. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent analytical and customer service skills, aligning with Amazon's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform accommodation reviews to ensure compliance and support employee requests for safe and productive assignments.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert on the accommodations process and relevant disability laws.
  3. Coordinate the accommodation process and manage cases from start to finish.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and finalize accommodation approvals or denials.
  5. Work with leave of absence case managers.
  6. Communicate accommodation decisions, disseminate the Job Accommodation Record (JAR), and partner with stakeholders for implementation.
  7. Educate employees and HR on complex aspects of return-to-work, accommodations, and case processes.
  8. Guide employees to appropriate resources for answers.
  9. Manage a caseload of up to 120 cases.
  10. Identify when to escalate complex issues to senior staff.
  11. Maintain accurate and timely system records.
  12. Provide training to employees, managers, HR, and others in DLS.
  13. Adhere to internal SLAs and quality standards.
  14. Collaborate with third-party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments.
  15. Participate in activities and projects within the DLS program.
  16. Maintain reliable and timely attendance.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
  18. Travel as needed, up to 25% of the time.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese (reading, writing, speaking).
  • At least 1 year of case management experience.
  • At least 1 year of human resources experience.
  • Experience in investigations case management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • PHR and/or CPDM certification.
  • Computer skills, including database management.
  • Strong time management and ownership of deliverables.
  • Attention to detail with problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work across all business levels and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience providing consultation and training on disability issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
