Advantage Investigations in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced Accident Reconstructionist / Collision Investigator to join our team. The role involves independent investigations, scene analysis, vehicle inspections, EDR data review, and applying engineering principles to determine sequence of events.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, ability to prepare professional reports, and provide expert consultation to attorneys and insurers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in collision scene investigation and accident reconstruction.
• Formal accident reconstruction training from recognized institutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct collision scene investigations and vehicle examinations
• Analyze physical evidence, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, photographs, and electronic data
• Download, collect, and interpret Event Data Recorder (EDR) data
• Utilize reconstruction methodologies to determine: Vehicle speeds, Changes in velocity, Sequence of events
• Prepare detailed written reports outlining findings and conclusions
• Communicate findings clearly and professionally to Attorneys and Law enforcement personnel
• Provide litigation support and courtroom testimony when required
• Operate specialized investigative and reconstruction equipment including Drones/UAS, Photogrammetry, mapping tools
• Utilize collision reconstruction software platforms
• Work independently and manage assignments from intake through final reporting
• Maintain professional documentation and chain of custody standards
