Job summary

Advantage Investigations in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Accident Reconstructionist / Collision Investigator to join the team for independent investigations, scene analysis, EDR data handling, and expert consultation for attorneys and insurers.

The candidate should have formal accident reconstruction training (ACTAR preferred) and hands-on experience with reconstruction software, drones, photogrammetry, and detailed reporting. Some travel and courtroom testimony may be required.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in collision scene investigation and accident reconstruction.
Formal accident reconstruction training from a recognized institution.
Membership in professional reconstruction associations or equivalent.
Experience using one or more collision reconstruction software programs.
Event Data Recorder (EDR) data collection and interpretation training.

Responsibilities

Conduct collision scene investigations and vehicle examinations.
Analyze physical evidence, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, photos, and EDR data.
Download, collect, and interpret EDR data.
Apply reconstruction methodologies to determine speeds, changes in velocity, and sequence of events.
Prepare detailed written reports outlining findings for attorneys and insurers.
Provide litigation support and courtroom testimony when required.
