Foundation Medicine in Morrisville, NC is hiring an Accessioning Technologist II to receive and process patient samples with precise data entry and labeling. You will ensure audit-ready records in a CLIA-regulated lab and coordinate with the workflow to support timely processing.

The role requires either an appropriate degree or equivalent science/logistics experience, with strong attention to detail and compliance with HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years in logistics, science, clinical setting, or another regulated industry.
• Associates Degree with 1+ years in logistics, science, clinical setting, or similar field.
• Bachelor's Degree in biological or life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record delivery of patient samples and verify contents.
• Perform data entry into CRM and label samples with IDs.
• Route samples to appropriate workflow and alert downstream staff.
• Maintain documentation, labeling, and specimen integrity throughout accessioning.
• Ensure GDP and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, state regs) for data entry.
• Address issues and escalate as needed; support schedule changes if requested.
