Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Contract to Hire Laboratory Support position based in Fishersville, VA. The role focuses on preparing and routing specimens, accurate labeling, and shipping to testing facilities, while meeting production goals and maintaining meticulous data records.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of related lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience, and a strong eye for detail.

• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fishersville, VA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
