Job summary

The Department of Justice in Washington, DC seeks an experienced ICT Accessibility Specialist to serve as the agency's principal technical authority on accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.x and Revised Section 508. You will advise designers, developers, and product owners to ensure accessible solutions from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA and Revised Section 508.
• Ability to document test results and remediation approaches.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Translate federal accessibility standards into actionable technical guidance.
• Develop accessibility design patterns, developer checklists, and UX guidelines.
• Provide early-stage consultations for digital services, procurements, and communications.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs, wireframes, prototypes, content, and digital products.
• Support creation of accessibility playbooks and design system components.
• Guide product teams through remediation and SDLC integration of accessibility requirements.
• Advise Test/QA Lead on test scenarios and criteria.
