Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Accessibility Consultant to perform on-site accessibility assessments of facilities and new construction across the United States.

The role requires reviewing drawings, measuring conditions, and reporting findings with clear, code-based recommendations. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of ADA experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, planning, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1-3 years of ADA/accessibility assessment experience; 4-10 years for more senior roles.
• Knowledge of ADA Standards for Accessible Design and related codes (IBC, CBC, ICC A117.1).
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural/site plans.
• Proficient in field measurement, documentation, and technical report writing.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate code application.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• CASp/RAS or similar certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site accessibility assessments of existing facilities, new construction, and alterations per ADA and codes.
• Review drawings and documents to identify accessibility issues.
• Measure and document conditions accurately against codes.
• Identify non-compliant conditions and cite applicable standards.
• Prepare clear technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Evaluate proposed corrective actions for feasibility and impact.
• Research to resolve complex accessibility conditions and document interpretations.
• Communicate findings with internal teams and clients as needed.
• Manage tasks to meet project schedules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure consistency in approach.
