Salary Range: $23.77 - $28.20 Hourly

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for an Access Specialist with the Central Access Office. This is a Full-Time, Day position.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in psychology or related human services field required.
  • Minimum two years crisis intervention experience required.

Preferred:

  • Strong interpersonal/telephone communication and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of word processing, computer data input and/or mainframe preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 37.5 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • The Behavioral Health Intake Specialist facilitates the admission process, provides information and referrals and makes appointments for the treatment of psychiatric related problems.
  • This position is also responsible for intake and linkage of RWJBarnabas Health Care System employees and their dependents to RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Network EAP Affiliates/Provider Network, as well as for external EAP accounts(total membership approx 150k).
  • The Behavioral Health Intake Specialist is responsible for all associated data inquiry, data entry and record-keeping.
  • All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.
  • The Behavioral Health Intake Specialist will demonstrate the RWJBarnabas philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.
