Position Summary:

The Access & Reimbursement Manager (ARM) will be a subject matter expert on access & reimbursement for FILSPARI (Sparsentan), working remotely within their assigned geography to provide education and case-specific support to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to health care providers (HCPs) and sales force within their assigned region. The ARM must have extensive expertise in navigating insurance and access-related barriers and will be a highly collaborative individual who proactively manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment (e.g., fielding daily questions from sales team, working with Hub, specialty pharmacy partners, and office contacts to move patients through the reimbursement process, accurately updating daily reports).

Responsibilities

  • Proactive Office Support Throughout FILSPARI Onboarding Process: Serve as the key contact responsible for patient access and reimbursement in an assigned geography, providing appropriate support to providers and professional staff. Cultivate the highest level of expertise in the FILSPARI onboarding process, from Patient Start Form (PSF) submission through REMS enrollment to reimbursement. Walk offices through what to expect from the FILSPARI onboarding process, either when a new PSF comes in or when an opportunity for re-education is identified. Educate physicians and practices on the full onboarding process, including PSF completion, REMS enrollment, prior authorization, appeals, and medical policy steps to obtain reimbursement. Closely monitor cases as they progress.
  • Escalated Support for Specific Cases: Proactively identify and resolve complex patient access issues by working across the Hub, HCP offices, and field team. Assist with missing information on PSFs or REMS forms, coordinate with partners, and resolve access issues such as prior authorization, appeals, denials, and medical necessity letters. Partner with reimbursement stakeholders to communicate challenges and solutions, ensuring patients move through reimbursement successfully.
  • Sales Force Communication / Partnership: Seek timely updates on case statuses, educate the sales force on reimbursement complexities, log calls and notes, lead weekly case update meetings, and coordinate with stakeholders to move cases forward. Operate in compliance with HIPAA and program guidelines.
  • Proactive Trend Identification and Education: Deliver regional access landscape expertise, anticipate changes, create business plans to address barriers, and educate internal and external stakeholders on payer trends and changes.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical/health industry with Hubs, payers, HCPs.
  • 3+ years reimbursement/access/case management experience.
  • Preferred: Specialty pharma, nephrology, rare disease, REMS experience.

  • Experience managing access for new-to-market medications, complex accounts, specialty pharmacy products, and building relationships with HCPs and stakeholders. Strong understanding of insurance reimbursement, government payers, and education on reimbursement processes. Proficient in basic computer skills. Well-organized, able to multitask, and communicate effectively. Field-based role requiring residence in the territory and up to 35% travel. Must meet credentialing requirements for healthcare facility access.

Compensation includes base pay, incentives, and stock options. Target base pay range: $158,000 - $205,000. This may vary based on experience and location.
