Swarthmore College’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is hiring an Access/Care Manager for a 10-month academic year position. The role performs brief assessments, triage, and links students to campus and community resources.
The incumbent evaluates risk and determines appropriate referrals in consultation with CAPS leadership. You will support students, coordinate care, and maintain documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Swarthmore College’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports the mental health and well‑being of Swarthmore students. We aim to create a safe and confidential environment through a range of psychological support and consultation services. We provide individual and group counseling, assessment, consultation, and referral services to the Swarthmore College community.
The Access/Care Manager provides brief assessment and triage of clients’ presenting concerns and serves as bridge between CAPS and external resources. This position evaluates the risk level and clinical need of incoming students, makes determinations (in consultation with the Director and/or Associate Director of CAPS) about referrals, level of care and primary modality of treatment as well as helps students connect to resources in the community as appropriate. This is a 10‑month position, working during the academic year.

The market range for this position is $65,000‑$72,000 per year, which represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. The salary offered is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience and education of the final selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
Swarthmore College requires a PA Criminal background check for all staff positions prior to the start of employment.
An education verification is required for this position because a college degree is a required qualification for this position.
