Job description

Position Objective:

To serve, assist, and lead out in family ministry through our Access ministry throughout the church, but primarily in Fellowship Kids. This person will work with the Family Pastor. This person will strive to serve kids, students, and adults with disabilities as well as their families.

Position Description:

To see the gospel and the Church made accessible to every person or family with disabilities.

Program Development & Accessibility

• Evaluate church facilities for accessibility (physical, ASL, sensory, communication).
• Ensure safety and best practices in all ministry environments.
• Partner with ministry leaders to adapt programming.
• Maintain policies that ensure dignity, safety, and excellence.
• Develop appropriate accommodations for worship services, children’s ministry, student ministry, life groups, and other events in the church.

Community Partnerships

• Use the adapted toy drive and the workshop as ways to reach out to the community.
• Serve as a bridge between the church and the disability community.

Administration & Communication

• Manage ministry budget and resources.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding events, expectations, care, and updates.
• Support and care for volunteers.
