Summary of Job Duties: The Access Coordinator I is responsible for facilitating access to services and providing administrative support to patients or clients. This role involves greeting and registering individuals, collecting necessary information, and coordinating appointments or services based on their needs. The Access Coordinator I also verifies insurance coverage, communicates with patients and providers, and maintains accurate records to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Basic proficiency with computers (preferablyMS Office)

  • Excellent telephone etiquette skills

  • General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call center experience

  • Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, reschedules, coordinates, and cancels appointments.
  • Inputs and/or updates accurate patient information.
  • Communicates accurate and complete information.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
