Job summary

Parabit Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to install, configure, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot access control equipment and related low-voltage systems across commercial sites.

You will support Parabit kiosks, digital signage, video surveillance, and other self-service products while providing on-site, phone, and remote technical support and ensuring safety and compliance on every job.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting commercial access control systems.
• Experience with wiring, controllers, readers, credentials, door hardware, and system commissioning.
• Proficient with TCP/IP networking, device configuration, and troubleshooting across hardware and software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform field installations and repairs.
• Strong communication and detailed documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, commission, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control systems.
• Configure IP addresses, network settings, controllers, readers, and related devices; coordinate with customer IT when needed.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with project teams and vendors.
• Provide on-site, telephone, and remote technical support, including training end-users.
• Complete service reports, inspections, photographs, time records, and parts usage accurately.
