Job summary

Paramount Construction is seeking a skilled Access Control/Surveillance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain security camera systems and access control for commercial storage facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with security technologies, strong wiring and networking skills, and a focus on safety and precision.

The position involves traveling to multiple job sites across Northern California, collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure system functionality

Qualifications

• Experience working with security camera systems and access control technologies (Hikvision, Axis, Avigilon, Honeywell, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of low‑voltage wiring, networking, and electrical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair security system issues efficiently.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with IP-based and analog security systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure system functionality meets requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and industry regulations.
• Train customers and team members on proper use and maintenance of security systems.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for all projects.
• Travel to various job sites within Southern California as needed.
