    Overview

    Access Control Specialist - Parking and Transportation

    Under the general supervision of the Parking Manager, the Access Control Specialist will perform the on boarding process of new employees, volunteers and guest workers. The Access Control Specialist will also maintain current employees` badges, in addition to assigning and maintaining parking requirements as requested.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30a - 3:00p

    Responsibilities
    • Conduct on boarding process of NCH employee(s) using daily appointment scheduling from Human Resource department.
    • Conduct on boarding process of Volunteers using information supplied from Volunteer Services.
    • Conduct on boarding for new candidates.
    • Conduct on boarding of Guest Workers.
    • Assign starter access for all new NCH Employees, Volunteers, Guest Workers, and Attending PAA Physicians.
    • Assist Parking Manager with parking reassignments, badge access, and assigning of hangtags/AVIs.
    • Maintain data entry for HR, HR Orientation team, Volunteer Services, and Parking.
    • Create Generic badges for departments within NCH.
    • Provide necessary parking/badging/fingerprinting to current NCH staff.
    • Assist Parking Manager with parking/badging overall operations.
    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

    • Minimum education level of high school diploma or G.E.D.
    • Ability to read and comprehend hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
    • Basic word processing and computer data entry skills required.
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
    • Sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all persons, regardless of position, ethnic, or economic status.
    • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be able to provide great customer service.
    • Must be a good listener.
    • Must be able to assist management without any notice.

    MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Being able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to walk when necessary.
    • Must be able to get up from behind the desk at any given time.
