Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Access in North Charleston, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and deliver exceptional customer service while patrolling and maintaining logs.

The position requires at least one year in security, a high school diploma, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Benefits include health, 401(k), and perks through our program.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Alien Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories where allowed by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain logs, and direct authorized personnel.
• Observe inbound/outbound traffic, deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established procedures, communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter.
