FirstHealth Public Safety is seeking an Access Control Officer to oversee access control, lock systems, and camera networks across its facilities. You will work with leadership on security plans and maintain operations for public safety technology.

The role requires an associate degree and at least five years in a related field, plus the ability to obtain IAHSS certifications. Strong collaboration with teams and proactive monitoring are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role in a public safety or related field.
• Ability to obtain IAHSS certifications (CHSO, CAHSO, CHSS) within an established timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical surveillance specialist for the FirstHealth Public Safety system.
• Assist with video review requests from other parties.
• Assist with internal public safety-related investigations.
• Evaluate, develop, and recommend short- and long-term access control plans.
• Evaluate, develop, and recommend short- and long-term camera system plans.
• Proactively monitor camera systems to deter security incidents.
• Develop physical and technical strategies to promote a safe environment for all facilities.
• Act as subject matter expert for technology-related processes and cross-train staff.
• Attend meetings related to access control and camera systems.
