Job summary

Allied Universal in Plainview, TX is seeking a Security Officer – Access Control to monitor entry points, verify access, and patrol residential areas while maintaining a welcoming environment.

You will provide 24/7 coverage with a focus on safety, customer service, and clear reporting. This full-time role pays $15.48 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits, plus opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for residents, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and emergency responders, and prepare clear reports of incidents and unusual activity.
