Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to safeguard clients across industries, including financial institutions. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and project a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This is a full-time role with varied day/evening shifts and a starting pay of $20.50 per hour. You will conduct patrols, respond calmly to incidents, and maintain accurate access records

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and support Allied Universal and client reporting requirements.
