Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive operations location.
• Monitor and control access to facility entrances, gates, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, business facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
