Job summary

Allied Universal® in Olathe, KS is hiring a Security Officer Access Control. This full-time role focuses on managing entry points, verifying authorized access, and maintaining security at a logistics and distribution location in Olathe, Kansas.

You will provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding site procedures and safety standards. The position requires compliance with background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and access, and maintain visitor records.
• Control access to restricted areas and report unauthorized access or irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
