Job summary

INSPYR Solutions seeks an Installation Technician to install, configure, and support network infrastructure at customer sites across the U.S. This hands-on, field-based role emphasizes structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and security hardware deployment.

The role requires 2+ years of field experience, willingness to travel 100% and a valid driver’s license. Compensation is $40–$50 per hour on a 6-month contract with possible extension.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with structured cabling, low-voltage installations, or network infrastructure deployments.
• Experience with network hardware installations and access control/security systems (Verkada preferred).
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, and switching.
• Experience using cable testing and certification tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a) and network hardware, including switches, patch panels, and wireless access points.
• Deploy and configure Verkada or similar access control and security systems, including readers, controllers, door hardware, and low-voltage cabling.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, verify IP addressing and VLAN configurations, and work with engineering teams to resolve more complex issues.
• Maintain installation documentation, equipment records, and network diagrams while coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
