UVA Health is seeking an Access Associate Senior to support patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance across our academic medical system. You will serve as an access expert, guiding patients through processes with empathy and accuracy.
In this role, you will interact with patients and families, coordinate with clinical teams, and ensure smooth entry into care in a fast-paced setting. The position emphasizes patient-centered service and operational excellence.

The starting base rate for this role is $19.50/hr. Individual compensation will bedeterminedby the selected candidate'spreviouswork experience, education, and/or experience. Wealso offer a $3,500 sign on bonus which requires a2-yearcommitmentto UVA Healthfor eligible candidates.
In this high-impact position, you will serve as a trusted access expert across multiple clinical settings, supporting patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance functions. Your ability to adapt quickly,maintainaccuracy, and provide outstanding service will directly influence both patient experience and operational efficiency.
On any given day, you may:
Performpatient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updateswitha high levelof accuracy
Communicate directly with patients and families,providingclear guidance on processes, expectations, and next steps
Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and fellow access staff toresolve complex scheduling or registration challenges
Maintain composure in afast-paced, high-volume environmentwhile prioritizing both patient care and compliance standards

The pay range for this role is $19.50 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
