Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH seeks an Access Associate (Part Time Day) to support Labor & Delivery, Admitting, and Emergency Department registration teams. You will manage the admissions board, obtain CMS signatures, and provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of customer service, and strong communication and typing skills.

Responsibilities

This team member will serve as an associate supporting the Labor & Delivery, Admitting, and Emergency Department registration teams in addition to managing the admissions board and obtaining signatures for CMS compliance.

**Requires 2 weeks of Day paid training in Norwood (24-30 hrs/week)

Work Schedule:

• Part Time Day
• 12 Hour Shifts
• Holiday and weekend rotation(pay differential for these)

Job Overview:

Performs Scheduling or Registration functions in a timely and accurate manner: working with TH ancillary departments to coordinate care and communicate with patients and physicians/offices to obtain information necessary to schedule and/or register patients. Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions and resolve issues. Collect of copays, standard deposits and deductibles. SCHEDULING: schedule physician ordered tests in accordance with department guidelines; correlate medical diagnosis with ordered tests/procedures for medical necessity purposes that is required to receive reimbursement. REGISTRATION: educate patients on TH required legal compliance paperwork and provide financial triage (can properly direct patient with financial questions and explain concepts of insurance).

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Degree or GED (Required)
• 1 - 2 years experience Customer Service (Required)
• Ability to operate multiple computer applications
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Typing speed of 35 wpm
• Medical terminology required within first year of employment if not already taken
