Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a behaviorial health student for a paid internship at the Access and Recovery Center in Minneapolis. This 20-hour-per-week internship supports wraparound services, ARMHS, outreach, and care coordination for clients.

The role offers hands-on experience in a federally funded, community-based setting, with emphasis on recovery-oriented practices, documentation, and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a bachelor’s program in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Public Health, or related program.
• Interest in community-based mental health services, recovery-oriented care, and serving diverse populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish rapport with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
• Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and willingness to learn. Ability to receive feedback, utilize supervision, and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing client intake documentation and progress note documentation following client interactions and activities.
• Complete program maintenance tasks such as donation management, resource organization, and activity material preparation.
• Conduct client engagement activities, connect individuals to community resources, and assist clients with benefits-related needs and paperwork.

Access and Recovery Center - paid Mental Health Internship

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a behaviorial health student to join our Access and Recovery Center team for a paid mental health internship. Our Access and Recovery Center provides wraparound service integrating ARMHS, outreach, and care coordination services with clients.

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, during center hours from 9:00am-3:00pm

Hiring Range: $20.00 per hour

Main Job Duties
