Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

THE WORK:
  • You’ll serve as a senior seller-doer, leading delivery on major rail and transit programs while driving targeted business development across the Mid-Atlantic market.
  • You’ll provide executive leadership across the full project lifecycle, including pre-construction, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
  • You’ll lead capture efforts for PMC, construction management, and Owner’s Representative opportunities, building client relationships, shaping pursuit strategy, and leading proposals and interviews.
  • You’ll oversee multiple design-build and alternative delivery contracts, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, change, claims, and contractual requirements.
  • You’ll serve as a senior client advisor and primary liaison across executive leadership, project controls, legal, regulatory agencies, local jurisdictions, utilities, and other key stakeholders.
  • You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across construction management, design support, safety, quality, environmental compliance, project controls, and stakeholder coordination.
  • You’ll establish project governance, reporting, and performance controls that proactively surface risks and support compliance with applicable rail, FTA, and FRA requirements.
  • You’ll strengthen Accenture’s Mid-Atlantic market presence by developing relationships with agencies such as WMATA, VRE, MARC/MDOT, DRPT, Amtrak, and other regional transit and transportation authorities

Site Specific: Washington, DC / Mid-Atlantic client sites.

Every role here has some in-person time for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work. The current template requires either flexible or site-specific work-location language.

$225,000 - $275,000 a year

As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience delivering large, complex construction, infrastructure, rail, or transit programs
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, program management, or Owner’s Representative leadership involving major capital projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading client relationships, business development, capture, or pursuit activities within the transportation or infrastructure market
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Experience delivering major rail or transit programs for WMATA, VRE, MARC/MDOT, DRPT, Amtrak, or comparable transportation agencies
  • Experience with design-build and other alternative project delivery methods
  • Experience leading PMC, construction management, or Owner’s Representative engagements
