Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks an Accelerated Physics Simulation Engineer to develop fast, high-fidelity physics simulations for AI-driven hardware design and optimization.

You will build differentiable and surrogate models, validate against high-fidelity solvers and test data, and work at the intersection of numerical methods, GPU computing, and ML surrogates. This role sits in the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) team within Advanced Technology Development, delivering an AI-native

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Physics or related field; or Master’s + 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing numerical methods for PDEs in research or production.
• Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and GPU tech (CUDA).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fast physics solvers for use in agentic optimization loops.
• Develop surrogate models that are orders of magnitude cheaper than high-fidelity sims.
• Integrate solvers into the ACE platform for AI-agent driven design and optimization.
• Create training/validation datasets by coupling commercial or open-source solvers with parameter sweeps.
• Profile and optimize GPU kernels and numerical pipelines for speed and accuracy.
• Develop test harnesses, benchmarks and diagnostics for model accuracy over time.
