Position Summary

Salem Academy seeks a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Head Girls Soccer Coach to lead its varsity soccer program. The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the soccer program, with a primary focus on the holistic development of student-athletes, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and teamwork both on and off the field.

This position requires a leader who is passionate about mentoring young women, committed to student-athlete academic and personal growth, and capable of building a competitive and inclusive soccer program that aligns with the mission and values of Salem Academy.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive, structured, and competitive environment that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and character.
  • Design and implement practical training sessions, game strategies, and conditioning programs.
  • Support student-athletes in balancing academic responsibilities and athletic commitments, promoting overall personal development.
  • Build a sustainable and successful program.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support the broader goals of the Academy community.
  • Ensure the soccer program operates with the highest level of professionalism, including communication with students, families, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with school policies and athletic league regulations.
  • Foster a team culture that promotes inclusivity, accountability, and resilience.
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger van to away games

Required Qualifications

  • Prior coaching or playing experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level
  • A demonstrated commitment to the development of young women through athletics.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and representative of Salem Academy’s values.
  • Clean Driving Record

Physical Functions

While performing the responsibilities of the Head Girl’s Soccer Coach the employee is required to sit for varying lengths of time; bend, reach, lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; occasionally stand, walk, and kneel and regularly ascend/descend stairs; use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard; perform extended periods of work at a computer workstation, view a computer monitor; perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and receive detailed information through oral communication; express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word; and work in an office setting.
