Job description

This position is in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Office of the Commissioner for Patents, Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Patents, Office of Patent Training, Patent Training Academy. The Patents business unit at the USPTO examines applications and grants patents on inventions when applicants are entitled to them, publishes and disseminates patent information and records assignments of patents and maintains search files of U.S. and foreign patents. You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized Experience

• Directing training programs, ensuring staffing and resources to support timely and effective training delivery; AND
• Implementing policy and procedural changes by revising SOPs and ensuring consistency and compliance with quality management standards; AND
• Advising and/or coordinating with senior leadership and stakeholders to resolve issues and support agency wide solutions; AND
• Leading a staff in the execution of performance management, workload oversight, employee development, and the resolution of conduct matters.
