Job summary

Salisbury VA Medical Center seeks a full-time academic urologist to join a rapidly expanding program. The physician will hold a clinical appointment at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and actively train residents.

Annual case load includes over 600 OR procedures, about 1500 outpatient procedures, and 16,000 clinic visits. Duties include administrative leadership, teaching, and clinical practice with travel to HCS facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Completed residency in urology (ACGME/AOA approved) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical urology services and maintain privileges at Salisbury VAMC.
• Supervise residents and participate in teaching activities.
• Perform administrative duties including meetings, planning, and leadership communication.
• Coordinate travel to Salisbury HCS facilities and manage clinic operations.
