Short Description

The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper Health University is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Urogynecologist for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Practice Highlights:

  • Three MD providers and two Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)
  • ACGME-accredited URPS fellowship program with four fellows
  • Immediate and long-term support with mentorship and training to foster your research and professional growth
  • Two well-equipped offices with highly skilled staff, including two RNs and four MAs
  • A busy practice with a broad referral base
  • Collaboration opportunities with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University
  • Close partnership with Urology, Colorectal Surgery, and Gynecology-Oncology departments

Experience Required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have completed a fellowship program in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery; achieved or eligible for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and subspecialty certificate in Urogynecology, and have or be eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey Medical License;
  • Fully support the academic, clinical, and educational missions of our program including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and creating a positive learning environment;
  • Display the communication, and interpersonal skills required to build an active clinical practice, develop areas of productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty;
  • Have a level of academic achievement to warrant appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University; and
  • Significantly influence the direction of our program, and join like-minded faculty committed to our mission of being at the cutting edge of Urogynecology!

In the role of Assistant Program Director, the candidate will:

  • Support the development and implementation of the fellowship curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the program’s goals and meets accreditation standards.
  • Mentor fellows, offering guidance and addressing concerns related to their professional and personal development.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and helping select fellows.
  • Organize educational activities to enhance the fellows' learning experience.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of fellows and faculty.
  • Serve as a liaison between the fellows and the Program Director, as well as between the fellowship program and other departments.

Education Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, desire to work with underserved populations

License/Certification Requirements

  • Active medical license
