Short Description

The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper Health University is seeking a full‑time, fellowship‑trained Urogynecologist for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Practice Highlights
  • Three MD providers and two Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)

Education Requirements
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, and desire to work with underserved populations
Experience Required
  • Completed a fellowship program in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery; achieved or eligible for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a subspecialty certificate in Urogynecology; and have or be eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey Medical License
  • Fully support the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the program, including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills required to build an active clinical practice, develop productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty
  • Have a level of academic achievement warranting appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University
  • Significantly influence the direction of the program and contribute to its mission of leading in Urogynecology
Assistant Program Director Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of the fellowship curriculum, ensuring alignment with program goals and accreditation standards
  • Mentor fellows, offering guidance and addressing professional and personal development concerns
  • Assist with recruitment by reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and helping select fellows
  • Organize educational activities to enhance fellows’ learning experience
  • Contribute to the evaluation of fellows and faculty
  • Serve as a liaison between fellows and the Program Director, and between the fellowship program and other departments
License/Certification Requirements
  • Active medical license
