Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking tutors to teach Reading, Writing, English, Literature, and SAT/ACT prep. After paid training, you'll work one-on-one or with small groups of up to four students, using our proven curriculum and individualized programs. You'll monitor student understanding, provide encouragement, and help them build confidence and reach goals.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Required).
• Strong knowledge of Reading, Writing, English, and/or Literature.
• Teaching/tutoring experience, including SAT/ACT prep (Preferred but not required).

At Huntington Learning Center, we provide the curriculum, materials, and individualized student programs, so you can focus on what you do best: teaching and helping students succeed.

After paid training in our proven instructional methods, you'll work one-on-one or with small groups of up to four students. You'll help students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and reach their goals.

Teaching Hours:

• Monday-Thursday, 2:00-8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
• Part-time hours can be scheduled around your availability.
