Job summary

Three Rivers College is seeking a Professional Tutor to support students in math and English and help with center operations. The tutor will provide academic assistance, maintain a friendly learning environment, and ensure effective communication across all skill levels.

The role requires an associate degree in Math, English, or related field; bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position is part-time, up to 19.5 hours per week, with a pay range of $15.50–$16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Math, English, or closely related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Math tutors must have completed College Algebra or Mathematical Reasoning & Modeling with a grade of B (3.0) or better.
• English tutors must have completed College Writing with a grade of B (3.0) or better.
• Minimum of one year of experience assisting students in an academic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to TRC community and help students develop knowledge, skills, and confidence to become independent learners.
• Assist students in math or English and help maintain center operations.
• Maintain strong interpersonal communication with students of all skill levels and provide excellent customer service.
