Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a classroom tutor to provide academic development support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings and to assist classroom teachers with strategies for disadvantaged students to meet the district's curriculum goals.

Salary is listed as New Hire Hourly rate for Grade 6: $21.60 - $24.14 DOE, with an Internal Hourly Rate determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement. Work hours are 7 per day across a 9-month year.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in oral and written English.
• Ability to relate and work with students and adults.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and implementing plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic development support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
