Job summary

The position involves teaching medical students and trainees, participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences, and ensuring timely access to care with effective care transitions across multiple locations

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency and fellowship training program appropriate for thoracic surgery.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Thoracic Surgery.
  • Current or eligible unrestricted medical license in the jurisdiction of services.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in inpatient and outpatient thoracic surgical care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient thoracic surgical care.
  • Evaluate and diagnose thoracic diseases; develop treatment plans.
  • Perform thoracic surgical procedures per standards and policies.
  • Conduct outpatient evaluations, preop and postoperative visits, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate patient care with referring physicians and other specialists.
