Assistant/ Associate Professor Radiology – Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics
Description
The Department of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine, along with its partners New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Imaging at New York-Presbyterian, seeks a full-time faculty member with expertise in Nuclear Medicine for the Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics Division.
The successful candidate is required to have:
Medical degree from an accredited program
American Board of Nuclear Medicine and/or American Board of Radiology certification
Preferred applicants should have dedicated fellowship training or prior experience in Nuclear Medicine.
Protected time is provided to allow candidates to focus on areas of interest including grant writing, teaching/education and administration.
The selected candidate must have strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Workflow includes routine patient and referrer communication, and coverage of multidisciplinary tumor boards.
Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics (MITS) is an early adopter of clinical theranostics.
Supports a premier Prostate and Neuroendocrine Cancer Radioligand Therapy Program within the Meyer Cancer Center.
7 faculty members who perform standard Nuclear Medicine procedures, but also engage in multiple clinical trials with antibodies and small molecules tagged with Lutetium-177, Yttrium-90 and Actinium 225.
Investigating Dementia and Neuro-oncology currently performing Brain PET with 6 different radiotracers..
