Job summary

The University of Vermont Health's Department of Radiation Oncology seeks a board-certified or board-eligible radiation oncologist for a one-year, non-ACGME fellowship beginning July 2027. The fellow will be appointed as an Instructor at the Larner College of Medicine with professional fee billing through the UVM Health Medical Group.

The program offers 0.5 clinical FTE across UVM Health Network sites and 0.5 protected time for research, with opportunities for SRS, SBRT, and adaptive

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology residency by the program start date.
• Board certified or board eligible in radiation oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Vermont and New York.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• The fellow will participate in all aspects of radiation oncology care across UVM Health Network sites, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, on-treatment management, and follow-up.
• Clinical focus areas include brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT, and adaptive radiotherapy; 50% protected time for scholarly activity.
