The Department of Psychiatry at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) seeks a faculty-level doctoral Psychiatrist to join its growing academic department.

The psychiatry residency program is fully accredited, with 24 residents, and engaged in clinical expansion, research, and trainee training. WMed collaborates with Ascension Borgess, Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital, SWMBH, ISK, and Kalamazoo Community Healing Centers to advance clinical care and education.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice medicine in Michigan.
• Current BLS certification.
• Board certified or eligibility for board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary coverage of the WMed Psychiatry outpatient clinic and supervise 3rd and 4th year residents as well as medical students.
• Supervise medical students and psychiatry residents within the ACGME-accredited residency program.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Potential for leadership opportunities and protected academic time for administrative and research activities.
