Job summary

Brown University Health in Providence, RI seeks a board-certified or eligible psychiatrist to join our fully virtual Partial Hospital Program. This position serves adults with complex mental health needs and offers an optional outpatient component.

The team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and trainees, with robust administrative support. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with one weekend call every eight weeks for inpatient coverage at RI Hospital.

Qualifications

• Board certification in psychiatry (or eligibility) in RI/MA.
• Academic appointment potential at Brown University.
• Position supports fully virtual Partial Hospital Program (PHP).
• Mon-Fri schedule 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Call 1 weekend every 8 weeks (inpatient at RI Hospital).
• 8-12 patients seen per day; average census ~10.
• J1 & H1-B visa friendly; candidates available in 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment within the PHP.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
