Job summary

UCLA Extension is seeking a Program Supervisor to manage the Legal Programs portfolio within Academic Affairs. Reporting to a Director, you will ensure academic excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with workforce needs, collaborating with Teaching & Learning, Marketing, Academic Advising, Enrollment Management, and other partners.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, overseeing operations, and driving program improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum experience in managing academic or professional education programs.
• Excellent customer service with professionalism, fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to craft reports, course descriptions, marketing copy, and correspondence.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, adult learning theory, and educational operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced project and time management abilities; plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with basic marketing and market research; use digital content creation tools for promotions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with accountability for results.
• Demonstrated project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and instructor onboarding support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general Windows-based applications; quick learner of new tech.
• Strong quantitative and financial analysis; interpret data to inform decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across academic and administrative units and represent the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise academic program staff, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and service-oriented team.
• Oversee daily program operations, including course scheduling, instructor support, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Support planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs, curriculum, and student learning experiences.
• Analyze program performance, operational needs, and market trends to drive strategic improvements and portfolio growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance enrollment, student success, marketing effectiveness, and organizational goals.
