Job summary

The University of South Florida's College of Engineering seeks an Administrative Coordinator for the Mechanical Engineering department to coordinate, lead and support the undergraduate and graduate programs. Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating undergraduate and graduate academic programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee departmental office operations, meetings, and scheduling.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative staff and student workers.
  • Support program recruitment, Capstone events, purchasing, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate faculty recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing activities.
  • Lead department marketing, CMS website updates, and promotional materials.
  • Liaise with Advisory Board and ensure accreditation-related reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional offices and manage attendance/leave records.
  • Process work orders for departments and labs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Master's degree in education or related field
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience
