Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R.
• Eligibility for Florida medical licensure.
• Additional fellowship training (e.g., Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Cancer rehabilitation) welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient PM&R consultations across Jackson Memorial Hospital and UHealth sites.
• Evaluate patients with spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury, amputation, and complex orthopedic conditions.
• Develop interdisciplinary rehabilitation plans using evidence-based methods.
• Recommend therapies, equipment, bracing/orthotics, and levels of care.
• Document timely assessments and recommendations for referring services.
• Participate in rounds, discharge planning, and coordination with therapy teams.
• Support clinical programs in neurorehabilitation, SCI, cancer rehab, and musculoskeletal medicine.
• Educate and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students.
