Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time academic plastic surgeon to join the Division of Plastic Surgery within the Department of Surgery. The position is open-rank/open-track with emphasis on general plastic surgery, especially breast, and opportunities in oncologic reconstruction and gender-affirming care.

Fellowship training is encouraged but not mandatory. The role includes teaching medical students and residents, pursuing research, and shared call coverage

Qualifications

• Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or in the process of seeking certification.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide general plastic surgery care with emphasis on breast and oncologic reconstruction.
• Engage in education of medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in research activities.
