Job summary

UCLA in Los Angeles seeks an Academic Human Resources Analyst 3 to manage personnel services for faculty and staff across the Economics department and MQE program. You will oversee reappointment, merits and promotions, and support visa processing, leaves, and benefits.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities, with experience in a university HR environment and UCPath knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Experience with UC academic personnel policies and UCPath (Preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of benefits programs, visas, and academic personnel actions.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple personnel actions with accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience in higher education or large organizational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage academic personnel processes including reappointment, merits, and promotions.
  • Coordinate faculty hiring and search processes; supervise staff projects.
  • Provide employment, personnel services and HR support to faculty and staff.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for CAO and maintain personnel systems.
  • Serve as benefits representative and ensure confidentiality and discretion.
