Job description

Join a dedicated outpatient Pediatric Physician role focused on caring for children with chronic and complex medical needs. This position involves building a stable practice, teaching residents and medical students, and providing comprehensive outpatient care in a new facility.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing outpatient pediatric care with no inpatient duties
• Managing approximately 20-24 patients daily, including complex cases
• Teaching EVMS students and pediatric and family medicine residents, completing learner evaluations, and attending educational conferences
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team supported by social workers, nutritionists, and mental health professionals
• Participating in a flexible schedule, mainly Tuesday-Friday, with remote administrative tasks
• Serving as the primary call provider approximately 6-7 weeks per year, with triage support from nursing staff

Qualifications And Skills

• Board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics
• Strong commitment to teaching and outpatient pediatric care
• Experience caring for medically complex children preferred
