Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota seek a board certified/eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track to join the Pediatric Gastroenterology team.

A candidate with an interest in inflammatory bowel disease is desired but not required. The role includes clinical duties, teaching, research, and service activities within a robust academic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Pediatric residency and three years fellowship-training program in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
• Board eligible/certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
• Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties in pediatric gastroenterology at affiliated hospital sites.
• Instruct medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in clinical practice through academic-affiliated networks.
• Engage in research projects and scholarly activities, with opportunities for collaboration or independent work.
• Active participation in faculty development aligned with career interests and goals.
• Participate in national professional organizations and foster an academic environment.
